In-depth evaluation (30–60 minutes, in person or video)

Your first Spravato session can usually be scheduled within 7–10 days. You’ll self-administer the nasal spray in our clinic, where you’ll then relax for 2 hours while being monitored by our onsite Nurse Practitioner.
Ongoing care and follow-up
Treatment plans are always personalized, and reviewed and adjusted as you improve. But a typical schedule is:
- Weeks 1–4: two treatments weekly
- Weeks 5–8: one treatment weekly
- After Week 8: once every 1–2 weeks, as needed

FAQs
Is Spravato safe?
Yes. It’s FDA-approved and given only after a comprehensive evaluation, and in certified medical settings under supervision.
How soon will I feel better?
Everyone is different, but many people notice improvement within 24 hours. Others may take longer, but most people feel a noticeable change within the first four weeks.
Will insurance cover Spravato?
Yes, almost always – including Medicaid. We’ll verify coverage during your consultation and explain all your options, including if you don’t have insurance.
Are there side effects?
Most people experience some side effects (such as dizziness and disorientation) shortly after taking Spravato, but most side effects are short-term, not serious, and dissipate before you leave the clinic. However, it’s common to feel drowsy and disoriented for the rest of the day, so you need someone to drive you home and won’t be able to do tasks that require you to be alert for the rest of the day.
Is Spravato the same as ketamine?
Spravato contains esketamine – a derivative of ketamine that’s been specifically formulated and FDA-approved for treating depression. Ketamine itself has been used safely in medicine for over 50 years, and is sometimes used off-label (through IV infusions) to treat depression, but this is not an FDA-approved treatment.
Spravato is different: it’s esketamine (not pure ketamine), and administered as a nasal spray in a certified medical clinic, under direct supervision by trained professionals – ensuring your safety and comfort throughout every session.What if it’s not right for me?
