Compassionate Psychiatric Services for Better Mental Health
Many mental health concerns are caused by a combination of life experiences and our brain chemistry, so sometimes the most effective way to treat persistent mental health issues is by combining talk therapy with medication.
At REACH, we provide expert psychiatric services for all age groups, both online and in-person, making your mental wellness more accessible than ever.Â
We accept all major insurance plans
Our board-certified psychiatrists not only have the experience needed to work with people of all ages and backgrounds, but they care deeply for the patients they serve.
Every patient has a unique story and circumstance, and we seek to fully understand your issues in order to develop an effective medication treatment plan.

Whatever Your Concern, REACH Can Help…
Whether from therapy, psychiatry, or a combination of both, REACH can help you to manage or overcome:
The Difference Between Therapy and Psychiatry
Psychotherapy and psychiatric services are two distinct approaches to mental health care, each with their own unique methods and benefits. Both types of treatment are extremely effective on their own, but even more so when used in conjunction.
Psychotherapy
Also known as talk therapy, psychotherapy uses a range of evidence-based techniques, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), to explore and address the psychological aspects of mental health through talking.
Psychiatry
Psychiatry, on the other hand, focuses on the medical treatment of mental health conditions, primarily through the use of medications. Psychiatrists are the only mental health professionals licensed to prescribe these medications.
Access Life-Changing Medications
Our board-certified psychiatrists can prescribe a wide range of treatment and medication options, ranging from the most common psychiatric medications to the newer and more innovative treatments such as Ketamine Therapy for depression.

- Anti-depressants
- Anti-anxiety
- Mood stabilizers
- And more.

Our psychiatrists understand the anxiety that can come from starting medical treatments, and will take the time to discuss all your options, explain their recommendations, and ensure you’re comfortable with the final path chosen.

Patient Experience Highlight
I got my initial appointment through their website and was instantly matched with a therapist who could work with me using DBT. As people with BPD know, it’s hard to find specialists who can perform this treatment. I was then referred to their psychiatrist, who asked many thorough questions and genuinely seemed to understand me. I’m happy to be on my way to a proper diagnosis and mental stability now, especially after it was so hard to find the help I needed elsewhere.

Experts in Adult, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatry
Psychiatry isn’t only suitable for adults; it can also be a necessary and beneficial treatment for children and teenagers. However, the approaches can differ significantly depending on the patient’s age, so it is important for children and adolescents to see a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in treating the younger age groups.
Our psychiatry team includes highly experienced board-certified psychiatrists specializing in both child and adult psychiatry, meaning we can cater to every need and age group.

FAQs
We've compiled answers to frequently asked questions to help you understand our services and options. Whether for yourself or your child, find the information you need below.
Deciding between talk therapy and psychiatric services can be challenging, as some mental health concerns may be effectively treated with talk therapy alone, while others may require medication.
This can make it difficult to know which approach is best suited to your needs, but our expert team across REACH’s services – from our board-certified psychiatrists to our psychologists, therapists, and counselors – are here to help. They are trained to accurately diagnose, refer when necessary, and create tailored treatment plans that best address your unique case.
All medical doctors complete graduate and post-graduate general medical training that results in a MD or DO qualification. However, to specialize in a specific field, such as psychiatry, further training is then required.
Board-certification (from The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology) is the highest level that a psychiatrist can achieve to prove their specialized expertise. This requires a minimum of three to five years in an accredited psychiatry residency training program after medical school, followed by rigorous examinations and continuous re-evaluation throughout their lifetime. Sub-specialties such as child and adolescent psychiatry then require further additional training and board-certification.
Essentially, board certification assures you that your psychiatrist has the highest level of training, knowledge, and expertise to help you or your loved ones.
It will depend on how you pay, and your insurance plan. We accept all major insurance plans, and most will cover psychiatric services with just a small copay cost of around $30 per session.
We are committed to ensuring our services are accessible to those who need them, so don’t hesitate to contact us to find out more about exact costs and your payment options. We can check your insurance coverage for you, and can help you with payment plans and options if you need to pay out of pocket.
In terms of the treatment you’ll receive, there’s no difference at all. Whether online or in-person, you will be meeting with our board-certified psychiatrists, talking through all your issues, symptoms, and concerns, and receiving a diagnosis and treatment plan. Our psychiatrists can also issue prescriptions online/remotely.
The main difference is the medium, with online and in-person sessions allowing you to choose the option that you personally prefer or is most convenient. You can find out more about our tele-therapy services here.
Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray for treatment-resistant depression that is gaining significant attention due to its excellent results.
As it is a medication, only psychiatrists can prescribe this cutting-edge treatment. It is also only available to adults (over 18) who have tried at least two oral antidepressant treatments without experiencing remission in their symptoms, so it is necessary to be working with a psychiatrist before you can explore ketamine therapy as an option.
You can find out more about Spravato Ketamine Therapy here, and we are proud to be able to prescribe this groundbreaking treatment to our patients at REACH.
It can be hard to detect and diagnose mental health conditions in children as they are less able to express their thoughts and feelings clearly, and many behaviors can be a natural part of their development process. However, children as young as preschool age can be diagnosed with mental illnesses.
Psychiatric medications can be safe and effective for children when prescribed and monitored by a board-certified psychiatrist who specializes in the age group. Medicines can help manage symptoms of various mental health conditions, allowing children to function better in their daily lives.
Extensive assessments will always be undertaken before prescribing medicines to children, to judge if their symptoms can be treated with other therapies. When medicines are prescribed, it is usually as part of a comprehensive treatment plan that also includes psychotherapy, family therapy, and often school interventions to ensure additional necessary supports are in place.
Yes, at REACH Behavioral Health, we value and encourage parental involvement in children’s mental health care.
For younger children, we often encourage parents to stay in the room during appointments. However, there are times when it may be beneficial for you to step out of the room for a portion of the session. This can help the child speak more freely and allow the therapist to better understand their perspective.
With adolescents, it is usually most beneficial for the patient to have time alone with the therapist. This promotes a sense of independence and privacy, which can be crucial for effective therapy. However, we always tailor our approach based on the individual needs and comfort levels of each child and their family. Our team will work closely with you to determine the best strategy for supporting your child’s mental health journey.
