The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. This position involves implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT will work closely with clients to promote positive behavior changes and enhance their quality of life through structured behavioral therapy.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
- Assist in the development of care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
- Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices.
- Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to patient care and behavioral therapy.
- Ability to create and implement effective care plans based on individual assessments.
- Strong skills in medical documentation and record keeping.
- Experience working with children in a therapeutic or educational setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for educating clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to adapt strategies based on client needs and progress.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
