The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) plays a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. This position involves implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT will work closely with clients to promote positive behavior changes and enhance their quality of life through structured behavioral therapy.

Duties

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
  • Assist in the development of care plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including home, school, and community environments.
  • Educate clients and their families about behavioral strategies and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Skills

  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology related to patient care and behavioral therapy.
  • Ability to create and implement effective care plans based on individual assessments.
  • Strong skills in medical documentation and record keeping.
  • Experience working with children in a therapeutic or educational setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills for educating clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to adapt strategies based on client needs and progress.

This role is essential for fostering positive outcomes for clients through dedicated support and professional expertise.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
